Purchasing an energy-efficient air conditioner does not guarantee its efficiency. Oncor Electric Delivery has adopted industry-accepted standards and practices that will improve the performance of your air conditioner and heating unit throughout the year, leading to lower electric bills.
Choose a contractor who understands the importance of energy efficiency. All units that pass an independent, third party performance verification receive a “High Performance Installation” certificate. Participating dealers can provide more information.
The "AC Installer Program" is available only to customers served by Oncor Electric Delivery. However, the information on this site may prove valuable to anyone replacing an air conditioning system or building a new home.
